Charterpoint are proud to be registered as a member of the WEEE directive in this compliance year of 2007.
The WEEE (Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment) Directive is structured towards minimising the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment by increasing re-use and recycling, and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill.
This ensures that WEEE producers are accountable for financing the collection, treatment and recovery of waste electrical equipment, and by ensuring distributors allow consumers to return their waste equipment free of charge.
Charterpoint are extremely supportive of the WEEE directive. We re-use and recycle all our electrical and electronic equipment wherever and whenever possible in our commitment towards improving the level of waste in landfill sites throughout the UK.
